Clean, insured cars with English-speaking local drivers who grew up on these roads. Airport pick-up, one-way drop-offs and itineraries built around you, for expats living in Indonesia and travellers coming over from Bali.
The Trans-Flores road climbs, curves and climbs again. We run high-clearance Toyotas that local mechanics know inside out, serviced before every long trip.
Sample rates, 10 hours per day within the region. Multi-day overland trips include the driver's meals and lodging. One-way drop-off fees apply between Labuan Bajo and Maumere.
Your driver handles the mountain passes, knows where the good kopi stops are, and speaks English, Bahasa Indonesia and the local language of each region you pass through.
Available for short stays in and around Labuan Bajo. You will need a valid International Driving Permit or an Indonesian SIM, and a deposit. We recommend a driver for the full Trans-Flores route.
Every journey is private: your car, your driver, your pace. We arrange homestays and hotels, and adjust any route to how many days you have.
The classic one-way crossing of the island: rice terraces, traditional villages, black-sand coast and a sunrise over the three coloured lakes of Kelimutu.
Drive into the Manggarai highlands, see the spider-web rice fields of Cancar, then walk up to the mountain village of Wae Rebo and sleep in a traditional cone-roofed house.
We pick you up at Komodo Airport and hand you to a trusted boat partner for Padar, Pink Beach and the Komodo dragons, then collect you at the harbour when you return.
Fly into Maumere and head west: ikat weaving villages around Sikka, Moni and the Kelimutu crater lakes at dawn, the Ende coast, and the megalithic village of Bena near Bajawa.
We work with people who live in Bali, Jakarta or abroad and want Flores done properly: no surprise fees, replies in English, and a driver you can trust with your family.
Car, driver, fuel and the driver's food and lodging in one written price. Entrance and national park fees are listed separately so you can see them.
Drivers from Flores who can explain the adat, the food and the history along the way, and who drive these passes every week.
Meet-and-greet at Komodo Airport in Labuan Bajo or Frans Seda Airport in Maumere, with one-way routes so you never drive back the way you came.
Bank transfer in IDR, Wise, or cash on arrival. A small deposit secures the car; the balance is due on day one.
Child seats on request, flexible rest stops, and hotels picked for clean bathrooms and reliable hot water in the cooler highlands.
A person answers, usually within the hour during the day, and stays reachable during your whole trip.
Fill this in and we'll turn it into a WhatsApp message for you. You'll get a written, all-in quote back, usually the same day.
Direct flights run from Denpasar to Labuan Bajo (around one hour) and, with fewer options, to Maumere. Many guests fly into one and out of the other, and we drive them across in between.
Yes, around Labuan Bajo, with a valid International Driving Permit or Indonesian SIM and a deposit. For the full Trans-Flores road we strongly suggest a driver: the road is narrow, mountainous and has very little signage.
Car, driver, fuel, and on multi-day trips the driver's meals and lodging. Your own hotels, meals, guides, entrance tickets and Komodo National Park fees are quoted separately, so the total is clear before you pay.
Yes, with some planning. Landslides can slow the mountain sections between December and March, so we add buffer time, check road conditions each morning and may recommend the Fortuner 4×4.
Yes. We can book everything, or just suggest places and leave the booking to you. In Wae Rebo and some villages, the homestay is arranged through the community.
A deposit by bank transfer or Wise confirms your booking. The balance can be paid by transfer or in cash (IDR) on the first day.
